Thanks for the tip about the Manshots magazine - I'm going to give that a look. Here's my attempt to describe the first video I saw you in, in case you are able to identify it for me. There were three couples in the video, you were in the last one. The first scene is between two leathermen, I don't remeber the middle one. In the last scene you are reclining by a pool on a deck chair, and a younger man comes along. I seem to remember that he has dark curly hair and is tossing a set of keys. Zak: Did you have a chance to see the low budget independent film, "The Opposite of Sex", with Martin Donovan, Christina Ricci, and Lisa Kudrow? It is the first movie with gay characters and a story line that everyone really can relate to equally (usually they'll try to market them that way so that the greatest number of people will go out and see the movie, but that's seldom actually true I think). Saw "The Opposite of Sex", loved it, laughed my ass off. The movie you saw wasn't a Chris Duffy film although he was in it. It's called "The Wild Ones" by Renegade Video (Tom of Finland owns it) - the guy I was with in the video was Wolff, a good friend of mine. Very hot boy. Have you ever been approached about doing a solo JO video? These sorts of vids aren't easy to do - at least not to do well - since they require a performer who can talk at least enough (45 minutes minimum I guess) to keep some attention from the viewers. Last first, no release dates yet. Yes, I have been with many other models whom I had absolutely no interest in whatsoever. I'll leave the names out or I'd be here all night. I learned to SCUBA dive at 14 in a Chicago SCUBA school offered through a intramural city program, then I was hooked. How do you reconcile the idea of using leather in videos with the fact that animals are killed to achieve these means? I've been slowly weening myself off eating animals to the point where I no longer eat red meat. Unfortunately I still consume fish and fowl. Dead animal carcass whether it be skins or fur is something I try to avoid. I'm somewhat involved in the leather community, but the concept of using dead animal skins (leather) for vanity or sexual gratification has been a problem recently. This is certainly a quandry for me. I'm a member of PETA and as I don't always agree on all their methods/actions, there is no grey area on one subject - no experimentation on animals for vanity products. Leather on the other hand seems practical for shoes/coats/etc., but when other issues come into play I can't make an argument for it. I've discussed this with a lot of animal rights activists and I'd be curious to hear your thoughts. Your impending exploration into solo j/o videos seems to indicate a re-examination of your approach to sex and your whole connection to your environment. Will this involve leather or be more dependent on your surroundings and mindset? Dear Zak: I have always wanted to write you and tell you how much I like you, and didn't think I would have the chance until now. I have read a lot about you and find you truly inspiring. I read that you came out at an early age and I want to thank you for sharing your story with us. I think it will help others who are afraid to come out to do it if they need to. I'm sorry, but I don't get to NY as much as I would like.  When I do travel, I'm most likely to be found in the Latin communities and clubs, but I tend to stay out of the limelight and stay more in the shadows. You'd be surprised what you'll see (and I'm not talking sexually).  My one suggestion is if you like musicals, I highly recommend seeing "Jekyl and Hyde". It is one of my all time favorites and the music is incredible.

It has been brought to my attention that there are persons on this thread whom think that Zakworship and Zak Spears are one and the same. ZakWorship is telling the truth when he says that we talk on a regular basis - through our phone conversations, we have developed a friendship. No. The actors are not required to disclose their HIV status. You go onto a set with the assumption that every one is positive and never take it for granted or take a chance that they are not. This goes for my private life also. I went through the business and have been and always will practice safe sex, in videos and in my private life. No matter how long I'm with a person. I am HIV negative and will stay that way. Safe sex can be just as hot as bare backing, if not more.
